Shopping at Kenwood Towne Centre
Hi guys! I'm Ariannita la Gringa, and welcome back to my YouTube channel! Today, I’m taking you shopping at the largest mall in Cincinnati, Ohio, called Kenwood Towne Centre. This mall is indoors, which means all the stores are inside. Let’s learn some mall shopping vocabulary together!
When you enter through the main entrance, you’ll see a restaurant called The Cheesecake Factory on your left. It’s famous for its delicious cheesecakes! There are many restaurants here, and there’s also a food court that I’ll show you later.
As you walk in, you can choose to take the stairs or the big ramp. The ramp is for people with disabilities or those using wheelchairs. This makes shopping easier for everyone!
If you know what you want to buy, there’s a directory that shows a big map of all the stores. It helps you find what you need. For example, if you want men’s clothing, you can check that section. There are also sections for electronics, eyewear, jewelry, and more.
The mall has two levels: the upper and lower levels. I’m on the upper level now. To get down, I can take the stairs or an escalator. Let’s take the escalator down to the lower level!
Now I’m on the lower level, and right behind me is the food court. There are many fast food chains and local restaurants here. For example, Sbarro sells Italian food like pizza. A slice costs $4.99. If you want a combo with a side and a drink, it’s $8.99. What do you think? Is that cheap or expensive?
Next, we have Gold Star Chili, which sells chili-topped hot dogs. If you’ve seen my baseball video, you know about the coney! You can also find Popeyes, famous for chicken, and two popular chains: Chick-fil-A and Chipotle. There are often long lines at these places!
Now, let’s check out some shopping areas. Behind me is a store that sells hats. There’s also a small stand called a kiosk that sells phone cases and chargers. Kiosks are smaller than regular stores.
One of my favorite stores here is Akira, which sells trendy women’s clothing. Right now, there’s a lot of pink because the Barbie movie is popular! You might see a figure dressed up in the window display. That’s called a mannequin. Stores use mannequins to show off their clothes.
I also asked my friends, Tonya and Malaysia, about their favorite stores. Tonya said, "I’d say Foot Locker because I like shoes, or I like going to Chipotle." Malaysia said, "I say Hollister." Remember, the correct name is "Hollister," not "Hollisters."
So, that’s our shopping trip at Kenwood Towne Centre! Next time you go to a mall, remember these words and tips. Happy shopping!
